Taylor Rotary Club Seeks Nominations for 2025 Citizen of the Year
The Taylor Rotary Club is calling on the community to help select the 2025 Outstanding Citizen of the Year—an honor that has celebrated exceptional local service and leadership for more than eight decades.
“Taylor Rotarians have coordinated this honor since 1943, when Harry Pickoff received the very first award,” said the club. “This annual recognition reflects the heart of our community and its values. We rely on the public to help identify those who truly make a difference.”
To qualify for nomination, candidates must reside in East Williamson County and have been actively involved in local activities during 2025. Nominees should demonstrate a long-term commitment to community service and be widely regarded as caring individuals who generously share their time and talents for the betterment of Taylor and its surrounding areas. Additionally, an individual may receive this distinguished award only once.

The 2025 Outstanding Citizen of the Year will be honored at the Chamber and Community Awards Banquet on February 17, 2026, where a Rotarian will present the award.
The Rotary Club of Taylor remains committed to the Rotary motto, “Service Above Self,” through numerous local and global initiatives. In Taylor, ongoing service projects include hosting the Rotary Scholars’ Banquet, sponsoring local scholarships, supporting Basketball in the Park, packing bags at Shepherd’s Heart Food Pantry on Wednesday afternoons, running Meals on Wheels routes every third Thursday, and sending four local students to leadership camp each summer.
Rotary International is a global service organization that unites business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian assistance and promote goodwill and peace worldwide. The organization is non-political, non-religious, and open to all.
