CHAMBER SETS SIGHTS ON NEW HORIZON

Taylor, TX — The Greater Taylor Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce its Annual Chamber and Community Awards Banquet, set for Tuesday, Feb. 17, from 6–9 p.m. at the Williamson County Expo Center, 5350 Bill Pickett Trail. This premier event celebrates the accomplishments of Taylor’s businesses, leaders, and volunteers.

This year, the Chamber is excited to feature Taylor native Terry Zrubek as the banquet’s keynote speaker. “We are thrilled to have Terry Zrubek join us,” said Chamber President Tia Rae Stone. “He offers a unique perspective, having been born and raised in Taylor and now serving in the State’s economic development office.”

Zrubek, born at the former John’s Hospital on Main Street, grew up in Taylor and attended Taylor High School, graduating in 1993. He earned a degree in economics from Texas State University, an MBA from St. Edward’s University, and completed the Governor’s Executive Development Program at the University of Texas at Austin LBJ School of Public Affairs.

As Deputy Executive Director of the Governor’s Office of Texas Economic Development and Tourism, Zrubek promotes Texas as a premier destination for business and travel. He and his wife, Amanda, reside in Thorndale with their children, Katelynn and Kolten, while his parents continue to live next door to the family home in Taylor.

“The banquet is an opportunity for leaders across the community—whether elected officials, business professionals, or volunteers—to come together and celebrate all things Taylor,” Stone added.

Sponsorships and individual seats are available through Thursday, Feb. 6. Individual tickets go on sale Thursday, Jan. 1, for $50 each. Multiple sponsorship levels are offered, including a “guest table” sponsorship for companies that wish to support the Chamber but may not have representatives attending.

For sponsorship information or to reserve tickets, visit www.taylorchamber.org or call 512-352-6364.
